CHARACTERS: octavia blake & clarke griffin
LOCATION: oxygen gardens
WARNINGS: sadness/potential s2 spoilers for the 100 (do they still class as spoilers?)
SUMMARY: cast drama and all that. o and clarke need to chill.
[ it's been difficult already. waking up back in space wasn't enough, finn and raven had to go and try to kill each other too, and it's barely been a few hours before octavia already starts to feel burnt out. she needs- something, a break. a long holiday, maybe. ever since they landed on earth they've hit the ground running, and it seems that being sucked back up onto the tranquility hasn't done a thing to change that.
honestly, she doesn't know why she's surprised.
at any rate, she highly doubts she's the only one who needs a break. octavia saw the look raven gave clarke at the grav couches, more importantly saw clarke's reaction, and it doesn't exactly take a genius to figure out that there's something seriously messed up going on here. raven hates clarke, is furious at finn, who was all but ready to kill some guyagain to find clarke, who just seems confused about the whole thing-
it's enough to give anyone a migraine, frankly, which is exactly why she decides that a more important use of these comms devices is to tell - yes tell, not ask - clarke to meet her at these oxygen gardens she's heard mentioned. if there's one major pro to this ship, it's got to be that. no one wants to go back to stale filtered O₂ after walking on earth. so yes, she's very insistent about the other girl meeting her there, with 'no' not being an acceptable answer. content to wait and satisfied her 'persuasion' (more like bullying) tactics will have clarke here shortly enough, octavia pulls up a spot of wall to lean against with folded arms. she isn't about to let a new location start wearing her down, not yet. it's only day one. she won't fall apart yet. ]

not only did she wake up to find raven and finn fighting but everything that followed that especially her reunion with bellamy where he dropped the bombshell on her that she killed finn. she was already feeling guilty, blaming herself for the fight because it was definitely about her and this only added to it, even though she hadn't experienced it yet.
it was enough to really overwhelm anyone but clarke tries to push past that. she can't think about, not now especially since she needs to focus on the present. she heads down soon enough after their conversation on the comm device and it's not long before she spots octavia leaning against the wall and makes her way over with a smile on her face because despite their current situation, she was glad to see octavia] Hey.

she's quick to shove herself away from her position against the wall, a surprisingly bright grin on her face for someone with a rather large fear of being trapped in places, and octavia doesn't give clarke much warning before she's wrapping her arms around the other girl and pulling her into a tight hug. ]
I would have done this earlier, but you know- [ she laughs a little, weak and not too convincing but it's there ] fighting, and nakedness, and blue goo. Thought it best to leave it a moment.
