CHARACTERS: Netherlands (
handelaar) & Eames (
signatures)
LOCATION: Just outside the Oxygen Garden, then inside of it durr hurr
WARNINGS: Pterodactyls...????
SUMMARY: Ned promised Eames he'd give him a tour at one point or another, Eames hits him up on it, they go bird watching, possibly chaos ensues, they're both smartasses, etc.
NOTES: none!
[ It's true that Eames doesn't necessarily need to know all about the gardens themselves. All that concerns him is that they're obviously operational and that they're not all choking on carbon dioxide, at this point. Some things just have to be put to the wayside in terms of knowing the details of it, especially when you wake up in a spaceship months previous with no sense of bearings. He still doesn't know the specifics of the gravity couch other than it works, the jumps themselves other than there's plenty of physics involved - but then, even if he may know the basics and repair mechanisms of the PASIV, it's safe to say that he doesn't know how one mind can intermingle so completely with another, either.
But Netherlands (isn't that some name) seems like he's the sort of fellow intimately involved with the maintenance of the oxygen garden, and Eames finds that at least if he can get one thing answered, it might smooth the rest of his time here out. He's best at ignoring what he doesn't immediately need to know but it does good for the psyche anyway, having things you can control in an environment otherwise presenting itself as the epitome of oh, well. There have been a lot of things that have occured in his stay thus far on the Tranquility that a perusal of the oxygen garden seems, almost, like a miniature vacation at best, even if that's a delusional thought to begin with.
Outside of the oxygen gardens, he texts Netherlands he's arrived, then makes his way inside to see if he can spot him right away. ]
