Panem Otherworld: Haymitch Version | ALL WEEK.

[ooc; SEE THAT BULLSHIT DISCLAIMER UP THERE WITH TOPHER'S POST? Same rules apply.]

The fog clears on the most beautiful open field that could ever exist. A volcano looms in the distance, dormant, but threatening, all the same. Beautiful flowers, butterflies, squirrels frolicking- it's serene, it's peaceful.

And there are bodies everywhere.

Children lay sprawled on the ground every few feet- their throats cut, arrows in their chests, etc. Some of them have nasty stings, some look half-eaten (and was that a squirrel nibbling on one of those corpses?). And what's worse is the fact that this entire meadow feels wrong. The sky seems fake and painted and you can almost see the walls falling down to reveal a soundstage, but attempting to run to knock them down gets you blasted back a few feet. You're being watched and someone is laughing at you.

The animals that seemed so harmless before will attack you- the squirrels eat flesh, the butterflies sting and will cause hallucinations and paralysis leaving you open for attack, the flowers are deadly, and the cute pink birds will spear you with their sharp beaks. Hope for the best and assume everything will kill you.

Even what's already dead, because those children won't be content to just be window dressing- they're more than willing to rise again for an encore, but for the most part they'll only shamble at you and try to push you to dangerous areas. Every now and then, you'll hear the sound of a cannon and they'll flinch away from it.

Your only hope of survival is to play the game- kill or be killed. Take weapons from the dead and fight your way to the edge of the arena- a cliff overlooking a deep ravine. From here, you have two choices- either you fight until you're the victor or you jump to your death. Either option will put you back into the fog.

Of course, if you choose to kill your allies, can you actually live with it?
