He doesn't want to hurt Jake, but he has to protect himself in the process. Still firmly gripping the mask, Dirk attempts to dodge Jake's two-legged thrashing kick and winds up getting swiped in the face. He forces himself steady, struggling to keep standing as he gives the mask another sharp tug. ]
