CHARACTERS: James Rogers, his Avengers team, and ANY AND ALL PARTY CRASHERS.
LOCATION: 008 > 002
WARNINGS: Shouldn't be too much, will update as necessary
SUMMARY: James wants his Avengers to get to know each other, and what better way to do that than a sleepover? Shut up it makes sense to him. Also welcome to anyone who wants to tease a bunch of teenagers for being dorks or who might want to be on an Avengers team!
NOTES: IT'S A FREE-FOR-ALL so seriously if you want to bother anyone just hop in!
It really hadn't taken that long for James to set up the room for this meeting. All he had to do was raid the empty rooms for mattresses, blankets, and pillows, drag them down the hallway, and somehow shove them through the door. Annoying, but thankfully he had Francis and Azari to bully into helping him. The Captain America I AM DISAPPOINTED glare worked wonders, after all. But anyways, eventually? It was done. He'd sent out the messages to his team, and he figured they knew their way down to the eighth floor. It was just a matter of time before they started arriving.
He had a few things to talk to them about, a few concerns he knew should be brought up and addressed, so yeah. It was kind of official business. But more than that? James wanted them to get to know each other. People worked better, functioned better together if they became friends. Asking a stranger to watch your back it just... it didn't work out all that well. The more people knew each other, the easier it would be to work in tandem. You'd get to know people's strengths and weaknesses, what they could put up with and what set them over the edge. It was all things you needed to really know about the people you fought and worked with.
But James was nervous. As much as he could play it off around the other members of his team, he was just a big ball of nervous jitters. Even back home he'd never really had to do this. They'd always had Tony to call the shots, had Bruce taking charge. He'd never had to lead a team on his own before, and definitely had never had to assemble one from near scratch before. He wasn't really sure he could even do it. But Francis and Azari were behind him, and there were people that actually, honestly wanted to be on the team. To help.
So as nervous as he was, as he stood there and admired his handiwork, the little paper sign with AVENGERS MEETING stuck to the door, the handwriting sharp and even, the A almost exactly like the symbol his parents had fought under, he couldn't help but be excited as well.
[ooc| there'll be one thread for the general Avengers team meeting, but other than that it'll just be a free for all! If you wanna post a starter, call out for a specific person who's gonna be there, or have an idea for... idk your character starting up some ridiculous sleepover party game GO AHEAD. Seriously, no strict structure here c: just a silly little meet and greet.
