[ asato probably hears soysauce before seeing him. soysauce has never been the type to like silence, and he can't help but try to fill that strange, heavy silence in the air as he makes his rounds -- humming on and off, whistling a few bars of some cheerful tune, singing quietly under his breath. Probably something he shouldn't be doing while on duty -- supposed to be alert and on guard, after all -- but it doesn't hurt anyone, right?

an even better way to avoid silence, though, is bumping into someone! soysauce doesn't exactly know asato yet, but he's seen the other around the security offices once or twice before, enough to note those curious black ears and tail. soysauce gives asato a fairly chipper little grin, followed by a sheepish sort of laugh in response to that question. ]

Haha -- do I? Suppose it's just that nothing's gone too wrong today so far, so there's no reason to be down, yes? Patrol's been going fine so far, and I haven't heart about any big incidents, so!
