Something on the ship. Perhaps Kirk is too out of it to notice, but John's shoulders stiffen hard under his arm, the grip around the younger man's waist tightening. He is all but dragging Kirk those last few feet, and bodily hauls him onto the metallic stretcher, if he's allowed. John doesn't waste time in rucking up Kirk's shirt, showing off that sanguine stripe across his chest.
