He gave a slight nod of his head to Lilith as he stalked down the hallway, preferring to stay quiet just in case. But things had moved in ways he hadn't anticipated, of course, and then suddenly Jack was facing them for a second. And then he vanished down an intersection.

"Goddamnit, he saw us," he hissed, though he was sure Lilith had noticed that, too. He sprinted to catch up, but slowed as he approached the corner and looked carefully down the direction Jack had disappeared to, and found nothing.

The guy could cloak, sure, and he could create illusory body doubles that could even take a few hits. He'd hoped to keep the advantage of surprise, but evidently that was gone.
