This wasn't the time or place for questioning; that was back at the central office, when they had them in custody and under control and surrounded by other personnel - when weakness and sympathy and sob stories of questionable veracity wouldn't undermine the resolve of certain individuals who were evidently less concerned with maintaining order and stopping gun-wielding psychopaths who shot at security officers without provocation than...getting a good story.
