Anyone arriving will find the holodeck almost as it comes: a wide open space with very few decorations. In the middle of the room are a set of mats as one might expect to find in any wrestling or martial arts training room. There are benches, like bleachers, pushed up against the wall for people to take a seat, and towels folded along tables next to these bleachers. A water cooler has been moved from one of the common rooms into the corner for relief.

The only rules remain no hitting in the face, no excessive use of superhuman ability unless previously agreed upon, no weapons and no incapacitation of your opponent (as in, try not to break each other's limbs, we might need you to run somewhere in the next month) which Kirk details once enough people have arrived to get things going.

After that, it's essentially a free for all.

[Tyler glances around before finally finding someone. It's a guy with a medium build, a safe pick.]

Then where?

[Tyler can't blame him, not really. This is a pretty public place to fight -- really fight without holding back or anything.]

[puppydogeyes]

[She shrugs, twisting the cap off the water bottle to take a drink, watching out over the mats.]

Been here a while. Helps having people you actually wanna talk to.

[People that had been patient with her, still were. And there was a necessity on top of that now, being head of security, but she still admitted defeat on that a lot, stepped back or directed people elsewhere. PR and politics wasn't anything she was interested in, no matter what Edgeworth and Petrelli tried to tell her. She looks back over at Derek, flashing something closer to a grin.]

Edgeworth still thinks I should cut out the cussing though.

[Which really just makes her swear more with him, every time he brings it up.]

[Taking the brunt of the jabs, Garrus will return a couple, returning to his blocking stance once again after.]

Only twenty? I didn't think a year of my life was that cheap.

Really? That's it. I think you're underselling yourself.

[He'll give as good as he gets, grunting slightly as a few of Garrus's jabs hit home. ]

Don't want to risk it. Always the chance you might pull another atypical turian move and take to civilian life.

What makes you say that?

Civilian life after fighting reapers seems like a downgrade. But it's looking nice at this rate.

[Garrus will take the offensive and lobby a series of blows at Zaeed, following up with an elbow to his side.]

[licks]

That guy looks like the average jock, that's all. That seems like an easy target.

[ angel can actually appreciate that considering he's not here to put on a show, but uh-- there is one problem with that. ] Then where?

[lockwood]

Maybe that's the point.

[swedge]

You mean beyond an appreciation for decent weapons?

[licks]

[She shrugs.]

Hey, it's your choice. I'm not gonna get upset at you for taking a sure thing.

[ Angel's not overly enthused by the idea of fighting another vampire. Too much like home, too much like his entire life, and he's already had to put up with Spike and it won't feel like way to burn off energy. It'll feel like trying to tear the world down and leave something good enough left behind and he's just not starting that.

Anything else supernatural? Why the hell not. ]

[ He throws a look back at her, because he's not gonna suggest it. But he also doesn't have a reason to say no. ] Find out just how much I have to hold back. [ It's a dare, but really, he's only teasing. ]

This isn't my preferred type of arena.

[ which she suspected he was the type to understand her meaning, even if they'd not speak of it so plainly. ]

It'd be kind of weird if you did, so good. I guess.

"I practice," He grunts, wedging his arm up between Garrus' and his throat so that the press of his arm isn't a full choke. It still pushes the breath from his lungs and leaves him short on air, and he struggles to get his knee between them to increase the space, but as he's doing so he reaches up to try for a pressure point in Garrus' neck. If he did it right, it would be a Vulcan nerve pinch— unfortunately, he hasn't been able to master the technique so it would either fail entirely or make Garrus' arm numb briefly.

You guess? You realize if I lose my money, I'm gonna blame you.

[licks]

Decent weapons, good alcohol, and a purpose. Seems like plenty to me.

[swedge]

I'd have to agree.

Next step would be to ask your taste in music.

[licks]

[Kate laughs.]

Oh, I know better than to start a conversation about music when physical fights are already going on.

[lockwood]

Hey, I didn't force you to bet on me.

[licks]

Oh, I don't know. You talk a big game here, Tyler. [She just grins.]

[ Jo can't help but laugh too. ]

You know, that's smart.

Somehow, I think you might bet on me even if I didn't.
