Time had become such a blur to Murphy. So wrapped up in his chores, he'd almost forgotten what it was like to be back among large crowds again.

He could be worse, though. Could be maimed, mauled, or not even there at all. Dead. For what it's worth, that was considerable improvement.

It'd all be much easier if he wasn't starting to feel like he was aging more than he actually was (or thought he was). His limbs ached when he moved out of the gravity couch this time, with a pain that not even soothing hot water could satisfy. Murphy checked the kink in his neck after he got dressed, and started hobbling out of the locker area to wander. Maybe stretch his legs.

Funny how he had never really stopped to consider how much time had gone by. The year mark was coming closer for Murphy and while he may not have been around for as long as some, his time was definitely taking a toll on him.

"Christ. Get it together, man." Murphy rubbed his eyes, his feet guiding him into the hallways of the ship. Maybe he should have taken something from the medbay for a pseudo-hangover while he still had the chance.

Stubborn as he was, Murphy just stumbled, catching himself before falling on his face.
