SUMMARY: vampires doing gross things
[ the last time he'd spoken to jenna it hadn't been him, strictly speaking. but he remembered it, of course; all of the concern and the simpering well-meaning, when clearly what she needed was a slightly more aggressive form of intervention.
he also couldn't deny his curiosity regarding the other vampires on-board, the ones from different worlds. what made them tick, how dependent on the blood they really were. some of them had superpowers, apparently, which was both hilarious and admittedly intriguing.
but she'd been avoidant. not of him, personally; of everyone on the ship. meaning he hadn't seen her at any of her usual haunts, and had eventually given up and gone directly to her. it'd gone better than he'd expected - the signs were obvious enough. vampire avoiding company, happy to visit with one of her own. withdrawal, isolation. idiocy.
vulnerability.
he pauses outside her door for a moment, waits to see if he can hear a heartbeat (another difference between himself and the other vampires, he'd noticed), then knocks once, lightly. ]

[ she can probably tell it's not a human if she's listening for similar signals, but might as well put her mind at ease. ]
