CHARACTERS: caroline and tyler
LOCATION: the oxygen gardens
WARNINGS: who knows.
SUMMARY: the ship life sucks, caroline goes into distract-y mode.
[ There are a lot of downsides to living on a space ship, honestly. Especially one like TQ but one of the things Caroline misses most is actual sunlight, the real outdoors, okay so she was kind of happy not to have to worry about keeping track of her daylight ring but that happiness is so small in comparison to how much she misses the sun. It's almost maddening not knowing if it's day or not without a clock.
But she'll admit that what's going on lately is even more maddening, the whole mind-meld thing that's straight out of a Twilight Zone episode or something. And she knows it's taking it's toll on her boyfriend, the guilt that comes with how he bit her amongst the other visions he's having. She has her own guilt, the visions she experiences, it makes her feel like she's drowning sometimes. And when things like that happen? What do good little Caroline Forbeses do? They go into distraction mode.
She'd had enough with the moping and she decided that tonight was date night. She messaged Tyler to meet her in the oxygen gardens at seven, that she'd make it worth his while. And yes, there was a winky emoticon that went with that. Then she spends most of the day planning it, putting together a very Caroline-esque spread (partly in thanks to the goodies they pilfered from the other ship), wanting this to be special, to be romantic and fun (thanks to the addition of the hammock, don't ask where she got it/how she made it.).
So come seven o'clock, she'll be wearing something cute and pouring a glass of wine for herself and opening beer for him. Best girlfriend ever? Best overachieving girlfriend ever.]
