[ Clint probably needs this more than he'd like to admit. It's not the kind of combat he likes (he's a bow and arrow kinda guy, at the end of the day) but it's present in the way that the majority of his interactions with people on the ship so far have been. Not that that's a bad thing, strictly speaking, but there's a certain amount of introspection you don't want to get to when you're still recovering from having had someone stick their hands into your head and pull your thoughts like puppet strings.
On another note, there's a girl he's got to impress (not like that), so — however you want to frame it, really.
