The machines remove the nanotech affecting mutations, [ she explains, through slight speech impediment. It's been too long a day for her to pretend self-consciousness about it. ] They don't immediately heal what they've done. It's going to take time for the original nanotech to do the hard work, but the milder symptoms will stop within a day.

He's right. I've already been.

[ The machine is free, conveniently, and Caprica comes to a stop at the controls, clawed fingers tapping in instruction. The round chamber shows life in the form of illumination, cool and eerie. It's ready to go, with the bed pulled out hard from one end. ]

On your back, [ she answers, with a crooked half-smile that is even less subtle than usual.

Quickly back to business. The bed is covered with a thin layer of paper -- very sanitary -- and smoothed out with her hands. Her fingers are splayed hard so as not to tear anything with jagged claws. ]
But I recommend changing into a hospital gown, at least. The nanites are extracted through the skin as well as orifices, and it gets a little messy.
