[Cole watches Dorian with great interest. It's like magic, as far as he's concerned. He looks at his other untied shoe with trepidation, but... Dorian wants him to try, so he will try.

Kneeling as well, Cole takes both his laces rather carefully, like they may become snakes at any moment, and slowly tries to repeat the process Dorian showed him. He gets it about half right.]
