SUMMARY: Fighting through monsters in the maze of the ship's corridors in the search for the secondary shuttle bay.

The darkness of the corridors yawns open ahead, a pitch that sends an uncomfortable feeling crawling across your skin regardless of what knowledge you have about what's happened there before. The feeling only grows worse as you venture in. The warren doesn't welcome you; there are sounds deep in the gloom, claws and teeth and other things, difficult to imagine what creature might create them. Within an hour, you lose connection to the communications network, and the sensation of isolation falls heavy like a cloak despite how many other people you may have with you. Monsters plague your path. Wrong turnings. Dead ends. As the sounds get louder, closer, you witness the corridors themselves hindering your journey: the deep groaning of metal and structure as walls move around you, floors turning, wide chasms opening in the floor as doors slide out of reach or disappear entirely. This maze may be impossible to survive. Are you sure what you're searching for is worth the risk? |
