Entry tags:
griffons and sacrifice.
CHARACTERS: Valya and open!
LOCATION: Oxygen Gardens.
WARNINGS: Nope.
SUMMARY: Valya's thinking about part of what her mind gave her when she experienced the fear of late May. Also griffons need leashes.
NOTES: All formats = A-OK.
You would think it was the templar that was the bad thing about it. That wasn't... entirely wrong, but it wasn't really completely right either. The templar represented the active problem--the active problem being death, yes, nice understatement, Valya.... But it was the small detail that had happened, that really took her focus.
There had been blood on her hands, and power in her throat.
In that... illusion... it was not only that she had been facing a templar. It had been that she had been starting to use blood magic to defend herself. But she never would-- No, she had never wanted to, never been tempted. That was just... It was just the kind of thing that led to the griffons being destroyed (to people's lives being saved). It was... just hard. Isseya was an unapologetic blood mage, but she had still done so much to help end the Blight. Was there some way to rectify it in her mind? Some way that blood magic wouldn't be all bad--
It was a dangerous line of thought. And it scared her more than she'd like to say. She shivered as she walked, and only then realized that the griffon's pouch was lighter than it should be. "Revas!" she called instantly, panic tempered with the regularity of the event.
The peep came back to her from a distance. Hopefully the baby griffon wasn't bothering someone again.
