He was weirded out, that was for sure. More so then waking up in a pod of watery death and dropped on a floor like some floppy fish. She knew why too much about him, and apparently MORE then he knew? Barriers? What the hell was she talking about?
"I don't... don't know what you are talking about kid. I'm not this Crowing. I can't do anything. You have got to have the wrong guy. This jacket?" He tugged at it, as if to show her the jacket she already pointed out. "I stole this jacket just a few weeks ago. Maybe i took it from your--wait."
Oh, something caught on. He kept in place, staring at her in surprise. Uncle Jessie? His head shook no, over and over, looking surprised still. "Uncle...Jessie?" He stared at her a bit harder now; less surprised and more seriously studying her. "Uncle Jessie doesn't... have a Daughter. I mean I aint seen him in a year or so but he doesn't have kids..."
And yet how did she know? This was a puzzle. "You're from my future?"
