Natalie was actually just fine with him not asking about her, since she hasn't exactly been forthright with her position in the world at home. Nobody wants to hear you were the one to help destroy hundreds of millions of people, after all, especially when the ship seems to be populated by humans (and many of the Sixes have since then grown to not at all be proud of that accomplishment).
