CHARACTERS: Anders, Renly Baratheon, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen

SUMMARY: Anders is picking up people for 'space training'. He has already met Vladimir Harkonnen, and, now they both go to pick up Renly.

The halls of the Tranquility are a slightly less disconcerting place in the company of Anders- namely because for the first time in weeks, the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen feels somewhat more proper. Back home, it was a rarity to go anywhere, even within his own home, unaccompanied by someone-or-other. Even if he was paying no attention to them, they were present, except perhaps within the most personal rooms of his own household. The simple presence of someone else accompanying him, even if that someone was a self-proclaimed 'mage', is a pleasant return to the realm of the slightly familiar.
Apparently they were now to retrieve someone else on the way to Ander's 'space training'. The Baron is dubious regarding the potential quality of this training, unsure as he is regarding mages and their knowledge of space travel. But, he is not overly concerned about this- he merely wants to see what sort of people show up for this training, and, perhaps to ogle some of the more attractive young men. Naturally, he hopes that they will be stopping to retrieve one of these, as, Anders is slightly disappointing, precisely as old as he looked upon the viewer- perhaps even older. But perhaps this "Renly" might prove otherwise?

Disgruntled -- he tends to argue against aristocracy and for equal distribution of wealth in every circumstance, but the Baron can easily talk circles around him, a feeling Anders isn't used to -- he says at last: "Well, you ought to be right at home with this fellow we're picking up. Lord Renly Baratheon."
Renly left the king off, so Anders knows him only as a lord high muckety-muck and not the especially imperious variety.
"That's his door now, just coming up to the left, if we go by the numbers."
Surprise, Renly. You have a vaguely Gothic mage and a huge floating fat man at your door.
