[It's a day or so after his 'date' with Bells that Kurt decides to go find Wichita. Men have been driving him up the wall lately and he needs to spend time with a girl, goddamnit. That, and he feels like he really needs to check on the other TJ kids once in a while, just to make sure they haven't disappeared.

Maybe soon he'll check on John too, but not just yet.

He approaches her room with a box of cookies in hand, and knocks on her door.]

[ lazy Wichita is being super lazy right now- ]

Who is it??

[ yes, she's laying on her bed. no, she doesn't want to get up. ]

It's Kurt. May I come in?

[Because you never just walk into a girl's room, c'mon now.]

Oh! Yeah, of course, dude. It's open.

[ WHICH ISN'T SMART, she knows. but. well. this time, it's worked out in her favor. ]

[Kurt realizes this, but doesn't comment as he walks in and carefully closes the door behind him. He manages a little smile as he brandishes the box.]

I brought cookies. I'm sorry they're not homemade, but I promise I'll make it up to you. [Because you know Kurt drops cookies off to her and the others whenever he goes on a baking spree.]

Aha! Nothing to make up to me. Although your cookies are pretty much the best... [ nothing like Kurt with a box of cookies to bring a smile to Wichita's face. she sits up on her bed, scooting back towards the pillows, then crosses her legs and leans so she can pat the space in front of her ] Come sit, hombre.

[With a grin he moves to sit with her, pleased to be in female company. It always makes him feel so much more at ease.]

So what's been going on in the land of Wichita, Kansas lately? I'm sorry I seemed to disappear for a while after what happened with my mask.

It's okay, I did too. Are you okay now? [ masks. she hates thinking about her mask, hates thinking about what they did to her friends even more. she's just going to fiddle and fuss until she can get her hands on one of those cookies, thank you! ] Umm, lately? I've been eating almost every meal with Percy and his girlfriend - I think he thinks it's a sneaky way of keeping his eye on me, but I kinda see right through it - and I've been spending the rest of my time at the bar, mostly. Not drinking, just bartending. It's been busier than usual, what with the whole... jump pod traps, I guess. Everybody's on edge. [ including her ] So, boring stuff, basically.

I'm glad someone's looking after you, Wichita. [A part of him really wants to call her Krista--her real name--but he carefully avoids that. No need to drag up bad memories.]

I, um... Well. [He worries his lip with his teeth.] Keep this a secret, okay? Pinkie promise.

Yeah, yeah. I'm supposed to be looking after you guys, not the other way around.

[ like that fixes the problem..

though asking for a pinkie promise, now that's interesting. so she holds her hand up between them, pinky out. ]

You got it. What's up?

[He locks pinkies with her earnestly, then sighs, turning rather pink.]

I'm, um. Seeing someone. Sort of. Actually, not even-- I have no idea what to call it. [He hunches his shoulders awkwardly.] I honestly don't. H-he just--we sort of almost hooked up? But then I think about how I feel about Blaine and how I feel about John and I just want to take it slow, you know? And now he keeps wanting to meet with me and I think it's okay to just hang out but then he just keeps kissing me and I can barely even think when he does that, it's not considerate at all, and he's honestly so infuriating sometimes...

[hgljks how do you do boys he holds his face in his hands miserably] God, I barely even know who he is. I get tidbits now and then but it's mostly just. You know. The kissing.

[ she manages to keep her mouth shut while he explains, though it kind of bounces back and forth. 'sort of seeing someone' 'i want to take it slow' 'but then he just keeps kissing me' 'barely know who he is'. and Wichita is all for just doing things without any strings attached. hell, that was always her MO, it's just easier that way, for her. but Kurt's not like her, not really. he had a boyfriend, and then he had ( has? ) a crush on his straight friend, and now there's.. this.

she's concerned, and really she just wants to tell him to relax, go with it, but- ]

Do I need to have a talk with this guy? Well, by talk I mean, introduce him to the butt of my gun? I mean, he's not.. pressuring you. With the kissing. Is he?

Oh-- Oh, no. I don't-- It's not like that. I don't think.

[Ugh his whole face is red now.]

I mean, I like kissing him. I want to. It's just a little overwhelming, that's all. I've never... [He blinks, glancing away.] I mean, I'm not used to a guy like him wanting...a guy like me.
