LOCATION: Oxygen Gardens
WARNINGS: None, but will edit if needed.
SUMMARY: Technology still isn't Beth's friend. She's gone back to the gardens to feel at home and runs into a familiar face.
NOTES: None.

Almost a month here, and the steel walls of the ship still felt cold and alien to her. Only some of the people she'd met so far had made it bearable. And worst of all, a steel structure out in the middle of the Void was hardly the place to practice magic. At least not within the metal halls. It was strange not to use her power in some respect during an ordinary day.

Which was why she'd abandoned the terrible kitchens, her room, every thing in order to return to a place she could definitely associate with good things. And happy memories. Bethany sat this time in a clearing within the jungle. Immersed in nature, she felt more at ease. every now and then a butterfly would land upon her and stay for a time.

The latest one sported a wing that was slightly torn, which tugged at her heartstrings. "Here."

Healing magic gently transferred from her fingers to the insect, which she gingerly held in the palm of her hand.

"You'll be right as rain in a moment. Poor thing."

Almost a month

Morgana did not know if that was a time too long, or not long enough. She had been imprisoned before; and for how this ship served as a metal hold, it was no dark, lightless pit. Her arms were not shackled; she was given a freedom here. For that she should be thankful.

Yet she kept to her room, mostly. Thoughts weighed heavy on her mind, and with all whom she saw from her world, she had too much to consider, to decide. And times she got too tired of the four metal walls, she ventured to the Gardens. A piece of nature amidst something so utterly foreign. It was almost calming.

And it appears that today, another thought the same.

Bethany, she remembered. Another here, with magic. Whether wanted or not, Morgana was relieved. As much as she was used to being alone, such company would not be unwelcome. It was even wanted.

Her footsteps were quiet, and she stilled as she watched the younger girl help the insect. Morgana felt a small smile tug, as her eyes followed fluttering wings.

Fluttering wings that were so fragile. That burn so easily.

"Bethany?" She approaches now. Something in the back of her mind thinks how kind this girl is. Perhaps that is why it makes her all the angrier that in her world, too, those of magic suffered. Someone like Bethany did not deserve such. None of them did.

True; even here, the freedom given was nothing short of an illusion. But two years ago, Morgana would have sold her soul if she was shown such kindness.

Whilst she felt she and the girl were of a kind, she wondered if she would be blamed for wanting what as rightfully hers. For wanting Camelot's throne. For wanting and damning the means to get it. But she needed this ally, she needed this friend - even if the term was precariously used.

Morgana did not trust easily, yet - dare she not admit so - she wanted to. She was alone, and it got maddening at times.

She started, at first, actually unsure of what to say. It's been a while since anyone asked of her well being. "I'm fine," dismissively. "And what of you?"

She's crouching beside the girl now, watchful.
