enter the man and the monster
CHARACTERS: Jack Gibson & Cerbos |
internecine and YOU.
LOCATION: Wherever you want, within reason.
WARNINGS: general creeper potential.
SUMMARY: Two-in-one arrival! Shenanigans ensue.
NOTES: Please state the location somewhere in your reply! I'm starting with prose but am totally aight with script-style.
He wakes up, alone in the dark. Panic sets in and he tries not to choke on the device sliding out his throat, collapsing once he's left to himself, all set up to find his items and make his way to the rest of the ship just like every other passenger before him.
But Jack is never alone.
(The monster never sleeps. It doesn't sleep and it's wondering how the hell someone managed to knock it out inside the man's head, cursing and hissing with agitation.)
Jack doesn't talk, gaping at his surroundings with exhausted and panicked eyes, slowly getting to his feet and wrapping his arms around himself. It's only then that he (they) notice the mark on his arm.
Twenty minutes later, Jack finds himself in his old clothes (neatly folded in his locker with a communicator and the uniform), making his way through the large corridors. He makes many stops, leaning with both hands against the wall to catch himself. Sometimes he drops down to sit on the floor with the heels of his hands pressed against his eyes. He's tired and unbearably nauseated, energy and thought drained from him like he hasn't been fed for months. His mutters are low, barely audible and repeated incessantly, trying to silence a voice in his head that won't go away.
Shut up, shut up, shut up...
