Swords, yes. Maces, staves, crossbows, archery. Whatever you'd like, really. Defending yourself isn't about the weapon.

[Simon almost says that when you're talking about swords versus guns, then yes, it kind of is about the weapon, but he's just skirted the leeches argument and isn't too keen on starting up another one.]

He's certainly odd. Very polite, though, which I appreciate.
