Follow the truth, follow the lies;
CHARACTERS: Handsome Jack, Lilith, Mordecai, open!
LOCATION: The brig
WARNINGS: Language?
SUMMARY: Following the events of this log in which Jack appears and immediately has people trying to kill him until SEC throws them all in jail to separate them.
NOTES: Backdated to a couple days after the jump. Specify the character yours is visiting in the subject line.
Despite the efforts of the two Vault Hunters, Jack was not dead. Perhaps had they been more inclined to harm the security officers who had gotten in the way, the result would have been different, but they hadn't; instead, the three had been dragged off to the brig for a few days, and remarkably, nobody had been severely injured. They had been given cells that, while not immediately adjacent to each other, were still within earshot. This clearly would only be a temporary solution to stop their violence, but that, at least, was better than no solution at all.

I talked to Neal. There are more, deeper in.

[ And there were words with them, telling him to keep going. ]

There's a bunch of empty gravity couches. What we need is some of the engineering team to figure out how they're hooked up. Move 'em into the hallways so we don't have to do as much backtracking. There's gotta be a way to get farther in.
[Or there are less conventional ways, thanks to the oddities of the multiverse represented on the ship.]
You know anyone with superpowers? Super speed, strength, anything like that?

[ And besides, after what Neal said... ]
... I'm beginning to wonder if it's such a good idea. That... it wanted him out there, Mordecai. It fucked with his head.

[ She sighs, lets herself lean on the cell. ]
Too many mindgames and shit in this place.

[Sigh, indeed. The good old days weren't always good, but at least they weren't boring and didn't involve overzealous "police".]

[ She wiggles her fingers, then curls them like claws and swipes at the air. Rawr. ]

Well, maybe we'll still get our chance. It's a damn shame those manticores are afraid of people traveling in groups. We coulda done some damage.

Why not? It gives you somethin' to strive for. Find it, kill it, see what they were tryin' to do with these things. If it's even out there, anyway.

[Though of course the reason he's holding back info on what Jack did for their drunken chat is to tell her a sad story with the help of alcohol, so... yeah fail.]
