EVENT: SPACE PIRATES ▒ APRIL 20-21

CHARACTERS: Ensemble production!
LOCATION: Anywhere.
WARNINGS: Pirates, violence, etc.
SUMMARY: Brief encounters, finding ransacked/damaged areas, making your way to the oxygen gardens.
NOTES: Open to all!

The ship has been invaded by pirates. They're noisy on the network, but you haven't seen any, not in person. Though if you go far enough things start to make themselves apparent. Kitchens have been ransacked. Pieces of the walls are torn out, media libraries overturned. Maybe you should get your valuables together and find somewhere safe to hole up...

"Not yet. Glad to see you took my advice, though. Edgeworth makes a lotta noise, but there's no point listening to any of it." He smirks a little and motions for her to walk with him "Maybe somethin's gonna show up eventually if we keep lookin'."

Of course Mordecai already knew about Edgeworth; he had warned her about him before, with Lilith. And Maya could have only imagined what the other Vault Hunters had even said or done to Edgeworth to have already known that he was relatively harmless, even if his demeanor and choice of words said otherwise.

She began to follow Mordecai, shaking her head a little at his suggestion.

"Maybe, maybe not. I actually haven't talked to any of these pirates yet, but I did hear one send a message out to the entire ship. They seem a little more organized than the bandits back on Pandora, so they may actually be somewhere doing something, planning something, whatever. Instead of wandering these halls, anyway."

"Yeah, but I'm not gonna sit around and wait for 'em to finish planning. Done too much sittin' around on this damn ship already." Besides, they still didn't know where the pirate ship had docked, and if some of them were scouting the Tranquility, maybe they could be followed back to it.

Mordecai definitely had a point there.

Maya hated sitting around almost as much as he did, which is why she listened to his suggestion of ignoring Edgeworth and coming out of her room to actually (and hopefully) be a part of the action.

"I do wonder, though, where these pirates even came from. And what they're truly capable of."

"Guess we'll find that out, won't we?" Because failure to do so was not an option, in his opinion. He wanted to know, as much as anyone else did, why they were here and what exactly was up with the ship they were on, and the pirates seemed to have some answers. Of course, they also came on board making threats and stealing shit, which was why he figured shooting a few of them before asking anything wouldn't hurt. At least they might be more willing to negotiate if they realized that the Tranquility's passengers aren't a bunch of pushovers.
