SUMMARY: Exploration and salvage of the Scylla and the emergency shuttle bay it's docked onto.
NOTES: April 28 onwards.
An emergency shuttle bay is found tucked away above the 50th passenger floor; holding only two transport shuttles and a network console, it contains the final evidence of the pirates' work. Here, large amounts of the equipment and items they looted from the Tranquility are piled up: some waiting, some already packed up into storage crates for transport onto the Scylla— and some, though not much, already stored away on board. How they came aboard is made clear now by the two holes cut through the metal of the hull-side wall— the openings connect to docking tubes, which provide an easy route onto the Scylla herself. On the wall above is a message left in red: And with the jump fast approaching, it might be best to take heed... |

Hell, I'll take any help I can get. It was lucky you found me.
[ Slipping off his jacket, Nathan hangs it over the top of the stacked consoles, then moves around to one side of them. ]
Come by after the Jump if you're still here - you know where Comms is?
no subject
I do not. I have been unsuccessful in locating any maps of this ship.

Actually I've got just the thing.
[ Reaching into his jacket pocket, laid out on the cart, Nathan fishes out his communicator from among his piles of collected gadgetry, and taps through the images available until he finds the ones he's taken of Comms. On the top gantry, a large screen is visible, perhaps five feet long by three feet high, with a data-image of the ship. ]
We constantly collect location data. It's specific enough for rudimentary mapping, though it can be three or four decks out as far as saying where people are. When you come by, I'll show you which blur of white light is which. Take the lift to 001, then walk along till you find the door with 'OPR: Communications' written on it.

Thank you. That is extremely helpful. [Not to mention it helps alleviate his concerns about these "endless corridors" some people have mentioned.]
I will be certain to do so after the effects of the next jump have worn off.

I'll be looking forward to it.
[ Sliding the communicator back into his pocket and offering his hand. ]
It was nice to meet you.

He accepts the data transmission gratefully and shakes Nathan's hand carefully (since it's not something he has a whole lot of experience with).]
The pleasure was mine. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything you would like to know.

[ He hears all and he sees all--or at least he does his best to in any event. ]
You got any idea where I might find another one of these consoles?
no subject
There was a similar one in the exterior access hall near the secondary airlock, if you have not already collected it.

[And he'll go back to video mapping the place...and maybe finding some clothes that aren't his default jumpsuit.]
