NOTES: April 28 onwards.
An emergency shuttle bay is found tucked away above the 50th passenger floor; holding only two transport shuttles and a network console, it contains the final evidence of the pirates' work. Here, large amounts of the equipment and items they looted from the Tranquility are piled up: some waiting, some already packed up into storage crates for transport onto the Scylla— and some, though not much, already stored away on board. How they came aboard is made clear now by the two holes cut through the metal of the hull-side wall— the openings connect to docking tubes, which provide an easy route onto the Scylla herself. On the wall above is a message left in red: And with the jump fast approaching, it might be best to take heed... |

He'd glad to see Q though. In the time he's been aboard, he's seen a scant handful of friendly faces, but he cherishes every few minutes he isn't spending alone. In fact, he even offers a grateful little wave, beckoning him over. ]
Nathan, please, and I'm fine.
[ Not true. He's had three hours sleep in the last forty-eight, and he's drunk so much caffeine it's more or less stopped working. There's adrenaline and responsibility keeping him upright now, and his insistence to himself that it's practice for the White House. ]
What did you want to know?

I was wondering about the new communication system you're suggesting. Is it specific to the department or is anyone supposed to be able to use it?
[He doesn't want to give too much away immediately and show his idea and his work before finding out that it's useless or doesn't have the appropriate purpose. In-department communications, Q thinks, is fairly simple, if a little time consuming to set up. The difficulty lies in finding a secure system which is accessible to everyone yet also private.]
