NOTES: April 28 onwards.

An emergency shuttle bay is found tucked away above the 50th passenger floor; holding only two transport shuttles and a network console, it contains the final evidence of the pirates' work. Here, large amounts of the equipment and items they looted from the Tranquility are piled up: some waiting, some already packed up into storage crates for transport onto the Scylla— and some, though not much, already stored away on board. How they came aboard is made clear now by the two holes cut through the metal of the hull-side wall— the openings connect to docking tubes, which provide an easy route onto the Scylla herself. On the wall above is a message left in red: MAKE IT QUICK... And with the jump fast approaching, it might be best to take heed...

[ natasha doesn't react, but as she's standing slightly behind clint she'd be able to see it if he were to bristle at the comment. as he doesn't, she keeps her very slight amusement to herself. ]

Just resourceful. [ she looks to brad again. ] Or did you already find all the good stuff?

[ if clint were to tell him that he's not 'at his best with a gun', brad would have to mock him forever and downgrade clint a few notches on the scale of people he considers competent or at least somewhat competent. ]

It's not entirely useless. [ he inclines his head, fingers drifting to the weapon he picked up. ] I didn't take all the good stuff. [ did he find it? of course he did. ]

[ this is why he isn't going to say anything natasha already makes fun of him he doesn't need another person doing it too. ]

Hopefully they're not just storing guns and ammo. Ship's going to get pretty boring once we don't have people trying to steal our stuff for a while.

[ off-hand comment because really clint does have his priorities straight, but he's also used to having an endless stream of missions slapped in front of him week-in and week-out. at least these two can appreciate that change in lifestyle. ]

Good, so coming down here hasn't been a total waste of our time.

[ look, she'll stop making fun of him when he starts learning how to handle a damn gun. ]

Oh, I'm sure that there's gonna be some other huge disaster we'll have to cope with next month. [ she pushes an errant curl out of her eyes. ] But if you're really strapped for entertainment, there's bound to be some sort of device you can watch movies on in there.

[ brad can't help but appreciate that off-hand comment. sure, it's better for everyone if there's no one trying to steal their shit and to shoot at, but then what's a marine without a mission? he can make do without orders well enough, but without anything to do? it's going to drive him mad sooner rather than later.

stalking pirates through the corridors was by far the most useful he's felt here. ]

We'll see. [ that's regarding the disaster. if something happens, they'll deal with it -- at least that's what the grin, fierce and a little angry for all that it's contained, suggests.

Don't get all optimistic on me.

[ he says to both of them as sardonically as he can muster, because he really doesn't want to go through another pirate incident again anytime soon. he's read the info on this place, and as boring as it may be he'd prefer avoiding all of that stuff here rather than wading into it. ]

Wouldn't dream of it.

[ there's a wry twist of her mouth aimed in his direction before she looks back to brad. she'd prefer not to have to deal with intruders again, personally, but they were comparatively easier to deal with than, say, an epidemic or a nightmare world. ]

Were you planning on sticking around?

[ is he planning on sticking around? not necessarily. he got what he came for: information and weapons, ammo. that he's still here is mostly due to the fact that he recognises clint (and that he recognises in clint something that he knows).
