it's a wonderful life, clarence
CHARACTERS: Castiel. Meg. Neal Caffrey.
LOCATION: Somewhere that has a DVD player and a TV that works.
WARNINGS: N/A
SUMMARY: Castiel got stuff in his locker. He's trying to understand the point of it. With friends.
NOTES: BACKDATED to post-jump. [insert huey lewis lyrics]
[So, maybe her plans to spy on Nathan Petrelli's mask would have to wait. He seemed pretty tired anyway and Meg isn't one to deny her favorite angel a request. He had gotten something in his locker and she's actually happy to see it. Meg's been a demon for a long time, longer than most realized. The thing is that over all those years she's been wandering around the Earth doing her job and making sure things were ready. She made moves that put her into the right positions and then she waited. During that time she took in different things, just to be able to relate to the rest of the world. Movies were the best for that. Small slivers of the current era and expectations.
"It's a Wonderful Life" isn't just one of those slivers of culture to her though, it actually gave her something and she's held onto it for a while. It's not something she talks about, either. Explaining why a demon is a fan of Jimmy Stewart isn't really a topic that comes up too often. Still, the movie stuck out and that's why she gave Castiel the nickname. It seemed to fit to him, better than most the things she had called the other hunters she'd crossed paths with. Castiel was an angel, sure, so it could've been typecasting, but it just fit. There was never any reason to explain it to him. That would've taken the fun out of the nickname.
Now that he's got the movie, though, she's curious to see his take on it. He's sending a text message when she arrives, but she still takes a seat and props her feet up on something nearby.]
You know, of all the movies this place would give you, I didn't expect it to try and fill you in on my inside jokes.
