CHARACTERS: a friendly bear-like black dog called PADFOOT (aka Sirius Black doggedly) + y o u
LOCATION: anywhere you like
WARNINGS: growling, peeing on things, maybe a dog stealing your food, maybe a dog licking his bits?knot a lot
SUMMARY: this is an open log for you to take advantage of and get yourself some friendly dog CR! tired from not getting a lot of sleep, Sirius is stalking around the ship in his animagus form, both as a distraction for himself and in hopes that he will be able to cash in on a dog's easy napping style (early and often). it doesn't work! so here he is, a stray dog--he might come and eat your sandwich in the kitchen, he might beg for dog treats, he might come and lay across your legs while you're watching space TV, he might stalk you Grim-style just for a laugh... seriously OPEN TO ANYTHING.

[If there's one thing to be said for the Tranquility, it's that it isn't lacking in interesting smells. You could run from one travelable end of the ship to the other and still never lose out on smells to smell. A great deal of the smells are flat and dead and dull--plasticy smells, metallic smells, smells that make Padfoot's nose wrinkle--and some of them are a little... off? A dog's brain doesn't think so complexly as to understand what off might mean, but it doesn't make sense, Padfoot knows that much. There's things to skirt around and avoid, for all his canine bravery.
Being a dog is just about the best thing in the world. It's simple, it's easy, and Merlin's beard (sorry Merlin) but it's fun, above everything else. The exhilirating speed of four legs versus a boring old two, the dog's boundless excitement for everything and everyone he encounters--yeah, he looks intimidating--and to some people, he might be intimidating, there's people that irritate him, people he might like to stalk for a little light terrorisation--but generally Padfoot is a happy dog, waggy tail, perked ears, nose working to try to suss out as many details about all of these new friends as he can.
Occasionally he has to eat. Sometimes he slips into the kitchens to filch food from people's plates, if they aren't attentive enough to catch him at it. Begging works as well, people love feeding sad pathetic dogs. Occasionally he stops to try to get some sleep in, but the world around him is too exciting, and there's always something niggling at him, get up get up go see that it's not ten minutes in to that attempted nap and he's on his feet again, skittish and happy all at once. Sometimes he barks, just to hear the sound echo back at him. Sometimes he chases robots sweeping the floor, and sometimes he chases nothing at all, running just to run, because he can, because there's people just ahead that need to be smelled and licked and gnawed upon, gently and fondly.
