[ closedish ]
CHARACTERS: Jo Harvelle, Annabeth Chase James Potter and more
LOCATION: all over the place!
WARNINGS: can range from gore to psychological things to fluff
SUMMARY: these are my planned empathy links for October, taking place between october 11th through november 7th.
NOTES: this is closed to plotting, but I am still open if you would like to get in on this. my plotting post is here, so leave a comment there and we can make it work.
Because of how behind I am in general RP-terms, I am bowing down and kissing the ground you walk on and asking if you could possibly maybe PLEASE do the starter, if we have pre-plans with our characters. I know everyone's busy and everyone has a life but this would help me IMMENSELY like you don't even know.
HOWEVER, I have no problems with doing the starters if you're having problems with writing them up or coming up with something, so please let me know through plurk
disarmingly if you'd prefer I did the opener, which is totally fine! Really! I'm just so behind and I don't anyone to have to wait on me for the start of things.
Also let me know if I have mixed something up or if I misunderstood something with the plotting. c:

[It's soft, because it seemed like such a nice place. And now she's here, far away from it and everyone she loves. He can't fully to relate to the homesickness that she must feel. Even with Arthur gone for so long, he'd had Gwen. And then Morgana.]
I've never known a camp to be someone's 'home' though. They're normally temporary where I'm from.

annabeth tries to imagine what it must be like seeing camp half-blood for the first time. what it was like when she was seven, crossing that hill. it's hard to separate that first image of the camp from the events that happened there, but maybe. ]
Yeah, they're supposed to be. But a lot of demi-gods don't have another home to go to. I lived there year-round.

So you and Percy...do you have magic?

A form of it, I guess. We have certain abilities depending on our godly parent.

[Merlin smiles softly. It's sort of comforting, in an odd way, to know that others have things about themselves that they need to hide. And it's a shame that he hadn't met her in Camelot - she probably could've given him a few pointers about how to better hide himself.]
Do you know who your parent is?

[ but annabeth also had an advantage, of having the camp set up before she even knew about it. of having a safe haven to go and hide in. merlin was on his own, dealing with...everything she saw.
in a way, she had it easy. at least she wasn't so alone. ]
Athena. Goddess of wisdom, knowledge and strategy. But a lot of kids didn't. The gods have to claim you for you to know, and for a while there they kind of ignored most demigods.

[Hiding, though the Tranquility gives him a slight reprieve from it.
Merlin doesn't expect to recognize the name that she gives him. And it still takes a moment, a frown at how familiar it sounds, remembering books in Geoffrey's library or on Gaius's shelves. Even Arthur, who seemed to fancy ancient Greek and Roman stories.
And then it dawns on him. And a little bit of Annabeth makes more sense to him too.]
Have you ever met her?
[His voice has that little bit of awe in it that he sometimes hears when people figure out who he is.]

[ but she doesn't sound too particularly sad about it. she's been living this life since she was seven, so it's nothing new to her. a simple fact of life.
annabeth can't hide the very small smile she gets when he asks if she's met her mother. she nods, because as awful as her life might be because of it, she knows she tries. ]
Yeah, a couple of times. [ not always on the best terms, and not always under the best circumstances, but she has. ] Most demigods, if they know their parentage, will only meet their parents once or twice in their lives.

[Because she's met her, and because Annabeth is smiling.]

Thanks. I like to think so.
