{stage two: october 11 - october 24}
video for now but moving to action soon?
Hello. Shall we do lunch?
[As much as she hates the thought of others seeing into her mind, there's no reason to take it out on the innocent. She appears to be quite calm and casual about the whole thing.]
video (that works perfectly for me)
Hello. Yes, I think we should.
[Maybe then they'd be able to have a discussion on what was shared.]
Thank you for contacting me.

Hello there.
no subject
[It's said with a bit more emphasis than usual. She wants to be clear that if Bela's heard anyone call her by anything else in a memory, it's not the name she goes by now.]
no subject
It's nice to meet you in person.
[Depending on the memories that River actually saw, she may have learned that Bela wasn't her real name. Hopefully they will be able to clear the air.]
no subject
[River may have channeled her own thieving tendencies into a more-or-less legitimate career, but it certainly wasn't out of any moral compunction.]
no subject
[She could appreciate that River did, even if their backgrounds and experiences differed in a lot of ways.]
Shall we sit?
no subject
[She takes her sandwich and goes to find somewhere.]
I have a feeling we may be here a while.
no subject
[Bela follows suit, picking up a sandwich before glancing over at River.]
But I will admit, it isn't my first choice as a way to get to know people.
no subject
[Which in River's case generally means lying anyway and hoping they haven't seen anything to contradict it.]

no subject
[That and she'd rather know what Bela knows sooner rather than later.]

So, from what I could decipher from your memories you're an archaeologist who has possibly traveled through time and you were imprisoned. Am I right so far?

But enough about me. [River thinks she has a fair handle on what Bela's probably seen, now.] What about you? Have you ever been caught?
[The emphasis being on 'you' with the hopeful implication that the reason Bela's seen River in prison is because she got caught stealing.]
no subject
Maybe that would change here though.]
I had a few close calls but I managed to give them the slip. That's why using aliases and not leaving fingerprints is essential in our line of work. [Disguises were also useful.] What else did you see?
{stage three: october 25 - november 7}
for Murphy
Trying to figure out who the memories belonged to was always fun and now all Bela wanted to do was rest and take it easy. But she had to find them, knowing that they had glimpsed into what was in her mind; she had to make them understand somehow.

Murphy could be found in the bar area, serving himself up drinks for the last hour or so. Though in actuality he had lost track of the time. His head whirled with all kinds of places he had never seen before, never traveled to. He never went that far beyond the familiarity of the place he had made his home.
It wasn't that bad, at first. He might have even reveled in the memories for a few brief moments as he went to grab his glass of finer whiskey to drink.
And then some really smelly shit hit the fan.
The glass dropped without Murphy even realizing it, his hand swinging up over his face. As if covering his eyes would somehow stop the things he saw, or lived through. It shouldn't even come as a surprise... everyone had their baggage to carry. Some more than others. It still didn't make him feel any less sick to his stomach.

The memories Bela saw and felt not long ago still lingered in her mind, even when she ordered a drink. They weren't so easy to shake off and pretending seemed pointless after what Bela had been witness to. Her gaze moved over the room again before it settled on Murphy, someone Bela had not spoke to for a while- perhaps they were destined to meet here. She picked up her glass and walked over to him, leaning against the bar.
"Hey," Bela said in greeting, looking Murphy over. "Been some time hasn't it?"
