CHARACTERS: Ori and you
LOCATION: in the gardens somewhere
WARNINGS: cuteness overload (Ori has a habit of doing that by accident)
SUMMARY: Ori's sketching random passersby while pretending he isn't overheating; today you're his subject!
NOTES: Feel free to reply in any format
Ori sits quietly beneath the shade of one of the trees in the gardens. He's been working hard here, helping the others out, and there's smears of dirt and mud across his cheeks. But right now, he's taking a break.
Sleeves rolled up high to expose skinny little arms and sweat beading on his face, Ori has his knees drawn to his chest, sketchbook propped out on them and charcoal in hand. He's picking random people to be his subjects -- anyone that's sitting still enough, really -- and carefully drawing out a scene. So if you happen to notice a little auburn haired shadow stealing glimpses at you from over his knees, don't worry. He's just drawing.

He looks at the sketch, eyebrows arching a bit when he sees exactly who Ori was sketching. "It seems a fine likeness indeed."

If Ori blushes any more, he will permanently stay red as a tomato, he is sure of it. As Elrond sits, perhaps he will notice how the young dwarf instinctively covers the scar below his elbow with a hand, though the compliments make him forget himself.
"Do you truly think so?"

"Truly, I do. You have talent."

A compliment from an elf! Still, Ori feels like...well...there's more to apologize for.
"I-I'm sorry about...um...my companions. When we passed through. We were...disrespectful of you," he stammers out.

"There is no need to apologize. It is done." After a pause, he speaks again. "Your Company gave many of the elves stories to tell for weeks afterward." (Including the one about the look on the Lord of Rivendell's face during dinner. That was a fun one to hear time and again.)

"F-forgive me, My Lord. The memory sticks out well to me."

He can't imagine having a troupe of dwarves as guests was terribly enjoyable for Lord Elrond and his kin.

"Oh, um...a f-few others in the gardens. M-my family and friends."
