SUMMARY: time for a not so happy family reunion

[it was only ever a matter of time before this happened. before the two of them would have to meet. he knows he could've put it off. that there are ways to keep himself hidden from other angels. it's something he's been doing for years now, since the day he first started listening to dean's words. since the day he began choosing for himself. the day he rebelled.

now, of course, there are other reasons he needs to stay hidden. with the tablet inside him, a weapon that could be turned against heaven itself, castiel knows he has no idea but to keep it off of heaven's radar. which by default means that he too needs to stay hidden. (he can't risk going back. he can't risk becoming a weapon again). it's always going to be a risk though, he knows that, even up here. or perhaps especially up here.

it's the news of who else is there that has his plans shaken. with lucifer aboard, there is no hiding. not when seraphim is already on his radar. not when there are others here (benny. jack. tyke.) who he needs to keep safe. he owes them all too much to simply ignore how big of a threat lucifer could potentially be to them all. which means he has no choice but to meet with the one angel he'd most like to avoid indefinitely.
