[ so octavia has totally repurposed the bar for a round of speed dating, or at least as close as she can manage given that she a) did this last minute and b) doesn't know what speed dating is. still, it's not a hard concept, and there's name badges on a table and a hell of a lot of booze already up on the bartop.

there's some music playing in the background, but given that she's hardly an expert it's just as likely to be really out of place as it is romantic. feel free to use that as a talking point. there's coffee too because she doesn't really know how to cook, and a bunch of ready to eat stuff scavenged from the kitchen nearest the bar. all in all, it's...pretty budget-- BUT SHE TRIED

People volunteering their friends will obviously be told the truth about the nature of the evening, but anyone not friends with Octavia can opt to have received an anon message stating something like " MEET + GREET ON THE xTH FLOOR BAR, PLEASE BRING YOURSELF AND ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR APPROPRIATE ATMOSPHERE. THANKS "

although if you'd prefer their volunteer tricks them into arriving, that is of course also an option. ]

[clarke smiles slightly at that. she knows that all too well with how much all her people look up to her and count on her to ensure they survive. she knows that octavia means well with setting this whole thing up even if she wasn't quite interested but she sticks around mainly because she went to that much effort for her sake] Yeah, I know— even if I think she got a bit carried away with all of this.

[she follows his glance, there's a slight look of recognition in her expression from the fact she met them at this event too] Ah, those two are friends of yours? I only just met both of them a little while ago.

[ Remus nods and scrubs a hand over his face, the final touch on his de-groggifying process. When he looks back at Clarke, there's not much sleepiness left around his eyes. ] I met Kate here. Sirius I know from before. We grew up together.

[ Carried away is one way to put it. But he meant it—Octavia must think a lot of Clarke. ]

Is that how you know Octavia? From home?

Yeah, that's how I know Octavia though. We know each other from home.
