CHARACTERS: Rey and potentially-really-pissed-off Friends.
LOCATION: Deck 40, mostly.
WARNINGS: Yelling and cursing and possibly cuddles oh god the horror.
SUMMARY: Rey is terrible. The end.

There's a somber pause when Rey clicks the communicator off.

She'll deal with the aftermath later. Right now, she just wants a moment of peace.

Thanks to her recon syndrome, those moments are all too rare, because she's alone in an abandoned room on the fortieth floor. Eventually she will leave, most likely take refuge in Sophie's quarters.

For the time being, she'd rather delay the inevitable as much as she possibly can.

"Option number two's already covered, actually." She gestures to the room, though its sparse appearance does make it difficult to discern that two people occupy this space. "Moved here after asking Sophie to keep an eye on me, in case something else ever happens. Turns out her abilities would make her difficult to kill than most. So, going to be staying with her for a while."

If not indefinitely. Rey's nearly positive that her new roommate could kill her if it ever comes to that. While most people would find little comfort in that fact, Rey is a special case.

It's also a little detail that she's neglected to share with anyone else, for obvious reasons.

Given the situation, that's a blessing. What a fucked up situation this is...

Still, it looks like things are ever so slightly less dire than he'd thought originally.

"Yeah? That's not nothing, I guess."

[circumitus]

It's not nothing, she agrees.

"Better than the alternative. Can't foresee imprisonment improving anything, all things considered. And it wouldn't remove the compulsion."

Not without being locked up indefinitely, and isolation has already proven to strain her mental state. It isn't an experience she wishes to repeat anytime soon.

"No, it'd probably make it worse- if you're being used to achieve some kind of goal it's not likely it'd be pleased to find that you've been put out of commission by some meddling fucks."

Sounds like a bad idea, if you ask Levi. Could the facilities here even hold her, with that power...?

"Would probably just go crazy again, too. Which may be what it wants."

For her to estrange herself from people, be more susceptible to its persuasion. More so than it already had, anyway.

That's not what she wants. That's not what most sane people would want.
