WARNINGS: To be added.
SUMMARY: The latest dramas wherein people learn to be telepaths with various degrees of ineptitude, save for the actual telepath.

[ Emma nods her understanding, chewing that over for a moment. She clenches and relaxes her hands, like she's grasping for the memory. Blue eyes drift shut again, but she overshoots. Instead of sending him the memory, emotionless or otherwise, she just offers a telepathic recounting of the story—Driving up to the ice wall with Dad. Hook's smarm—something about champagne and a second date. Climbing inside, the cold. It stopped being cold when I started getting tired. She couldn't control it, though, it wasn't her fault. It wasn't her fault. ]

Almost and nearly. I've getting more of your inner monologue than the information itself, although that isn't a bad skill to develop. Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm asking is all the way possible--
--but no harm in trying.
[ A beat, then-- ]
Did you manage to fit in a second date, between the parade of fantastical character you get to wrangle on any given day?

Well, it wouldn't really be a second, since he was counting a snow golem as our first … But we fit a first in, eventually. [ The fondness of her smile is indubitably courtesy of some reflection on the evening. ] It was … good.

I'm glad you have him, out here.
[ Although it isn't entirely future infomodding when Charles feels a slight twinge, one twinge from several different places. He has friends who he misses very much, and the Tranquility has ways of changing the playing field so drastically that even when they don't go away, something goes wrong. Going forward in time. Incredible trauma.
That pang of caution and regret echoes gently through the empathetic connection still held open, which unhelpfully only serves as reminder for Charles to withdraw. Her goofy smile is precious and he doesn't want to ruin it. ]
