& i'll send it up to see

CHARACTERS: Eponine, Laura and Selina, also you.
LOCATION: All around the place.
WARNINGS: tbd
SUMMARY: catch-all for July!
NOTES: Write your own starter, plurk me or PM me for one, whatever floats your boat! This is super bare-bones to begin with as I assume more will come later.

For the first part of the month, before the jump, Eponine can be found laid up in the med bay, a result of her being, well, herself. Later on, she'll be focusing on trying not to manifest bottles of wine at every opportunity. It takes a lot of work to not be drinking all the time. Not to mention, there's a lot of trying to sort her relationship with Combeferre out. Happy anniversary?

Laura, for her part, can be mostly found in comms working. When she's not there, she's taken to jogging again to keep her health up. Additionally, she's planning a dinner for all of her lovely Colonials. It's about time they had some sort of celebration, don't you think?

As for Selina? She's getting into trouble, figuring out all she can about the Gotham that most people here seem to be familiar with, and oh, right, at target practice. Thanks for the gun, Dean. You are extremely missed.

It really did blend in quite flawlessly with Felix's normal natural nerdy awkwardness. He was an interesting character always, but Laura had come to rely on him. Besides, his testimony of Baltar was quite damning, and that she could always appreciate. And the trying to stab him in the neck thing. butterfingers.

Laura makes small-talk with everyone, at least until Gaeta speaks. Laura drops her fork and gives him a look of disbelief. "You've got to be frakking kidding me." Caprica had escaped the Brig. "How did the Six escape?"

It wouldn't be a colonial gathering without some sort of unfortunate reality intruding on them. The ship wasn't under attack. But it was hard to be sure it would stay that way with a Cylon on the loose. Whatever agreement they'd had had obviously been violated now. "How long has she been loose?"

"Right before the forty-fourth jump," Felix says.

The attention—predictable, given what he'd said, but he could do without it—doesn't help with the aforementioned awkwardness. He pushes green beans around with his fork while he talks.

"I'd looked in on her before," to glare, mostly, "and when I went back, the guard on duty didn't know where she was. I haven't seen her anywhere since." He looks up, from Roslin to Adama. "She told me she was in the brig for being a hero."

If he had to guess, he'd guess that wasn't true.

"I went to see her, as well," Laura admits. She had a grudging respect for the Cylon, much as she was loathe to admit it. Caprica Six's role in her being held hostage was not forgotten. But she'd kind of wanted to gloat about being recently married, even if the Cylon hadn't been invited, she'd expected her to show up anyway.

"She's in the brig for murder."

Oh wow, look at this. Just like old times.

Dinner has been going so well but Lee has never been the type to let himself get settled. Not before the Cylon attack and certainly not after. There wasn't much good news to be had on Tranquility and Lee is, frankly, impressed it took this far into dinner for things to take a turn for the dark. His fork is set down quietly while he listens.

Though Lee knows Caprica Six was on board, he's yet to encounter her. That's mostly by choice though now he realizes he wouldn't have had much luck if he'd intentionally sought her out.

"Murder?" comes the instant question. "Of who? How long ago? I'd ask if she can be trusted here, without the allies of back home but. I suspect that question answers itself now."
