She has to hand it to Klaus, his lessons aren't exactly forgettable. Stifling a hysterical giggle, Jenna cradles her right arm gingerly-- broken wrist and a wrenched shoulder, if anyone asks she has a broken wrist and wrenched shoulder, just a little blood and she'll be fine, don't worry-- and tries to walk casually to Medbay, biting viciously at the inside of her cheek to hold back a whimper.

Her chest burns, and she can't make herself look down and pull aside her shirt and hoodie to see the damage. It'll probably ruin the stupid sweatshirt, and that of all things almost makes tears impossible to hold back.

No. Broken wrist, wrenched shoulder. She'd look upset, in pain, but not in tears. She can't give anyone a reason to look deeper-- compulsion, fine, but she remembers Klaus' warning. Next time, she does-- what she did (mentally yanking the wheel away from that thought, she broke her wrist trying to move a box of... something) to someone else. Someone she loves.

Later, she's going to find a quiet corner and quietly melt down (this is not her life; this is a bad episode of 24, it's a goddamn Jason Bourne movie. Jenna Sommers from Mystic Falls, VA doesn't conspire to hide torture. She doesn't even think torture is something that can happen to people like her) and drain a few bottles, but right now she's going to keep moving.

Pinning a smile to her face, she enters the door and prays no one cares enough to stop her. She's an out vampire, it's just a hungry day. Nothing to see, nothing to bother with. Just a few more feet, nothing to see.
