SILENT HIL PLOT: FOG EDITION

CHARACTERS: ALL OF YOU SICK-MINDED MOTHERFUCKERS.
LOCATION: THE TRANQUILITY: FOG-WORLD EDITION.
WARNINGS: SURE IS FOGGY HERE, HUH?
(Also, you know. Horror. In space. With Silent Hill. That's always a recipe for Friendship Is Magic, right?)
SUMMARY: WELL, YOU'RE PROBABLY JUST WANDERIN' AROUND
WHEN SOMETHING DRAWS YOUR ATTENTION,
YOU CRASH INTO THE GROUND AND THEN YOU WAKE UP
IN A PARALLEL DIMENTION...

OOC: Okay! To make this easier, I am going to split this up into two catch-all logs. This event takes place within the span of September 26 through October 3rd, so maybe include the day in the subject line. If you plan on shifting between the worlds in the middle of a thread, it might be a good idea to add a link when starting a new thread in the other log (but it's not mandatory. Do whatever works for you!).

Characters who wind up in the fog world will either find themselves simply waking up to it, or walking when suddenly it becomes strangely more difficult to navigate the hallways. Hmmm... the lock is broken, you cannot open it. What more, they will find that their devices aren't working properly. The video feed is mostly snow. Audio kind of works, though! So you're free to give that a whirl.

Those who were not drawn in by the siren call of Silent Hill will not be able to physically interact with any of the characters stuck in the fog or Otherworld. To those in the real world, they simply vanished, and may find traces of them via unclear radio static on the communicators or catch ghostly glimpses of the missing people wandering the ship. But that's it. Ooh, spooky...

Monsters can appear in the fog world, but there are significantly less of them. You're probably likely to only run into a few of them. Other than that, you're almost safe here. Almost. Things are just unsettling and foggy and doesn't look quite right. But you never know when things might transition into the Otherworld, so be careful.

By the by, now might be a good time to stock up.

For information/questions, refer to this post.

Hayley. And the surprises are less than stellar. Last time it was mass poisoning and eyeless man-eating dog monsters.

[ she doesn't sound as concerned as she should, or maybe that's a point in her favor. it could pass as experience, or bravado. it probably makes her look her age, so she doesn't bother keeping it in check. there's something going on in her head- and Hayley can find buried hints in the flicker of Allison's expression, but lets it go unsaid. they have enough to worry about.

she's fairly certain she hears a dragging. but it's wrong. a slick, wet noise. she remembers Jeff's heels scraping along the carpet and her eyes betray nothing. ]

And no. I don't have anyone.
[ she might have had the advantage, navigating the Tranquility's hallways before- experience or whatever. but it wouldn't be the first time the ship moved. which means she's taking a back seat. Hayley's gaze moves to the girl's profile, a nod of acknowledgement. i'll follow. ]

C'mon. Lets go find your people.

[ she doesn't break stride as she once might have. stop, wait, explain it to me. it scares her, more than not being able to stand up for herself once did. her mind has been open to the unreal for awhile now and it has its claws in her deep, for always, and she can't run from it. she understands that now. harm on a grand scale puts her on edge because as an Argent she's built to defend and protect and sacrifice. eyeless man-eating dog monsters don't sound like werewolves, anything like her duty, but she knows what her father would do once he stopped pretending he was staying out of it to protect her.

the bleeding heart in her wants to grab Hayley - that's her name - and make her stop and look at her, make her see. but she's glad for the curtain her bangs provide because then she doesn't have to say it. the fog closes in around them in ways that makes Allison think it'd be worse if they wasted the time, for something so small.

the control shifts to her and she steps forward, leading the way.

[ she looks comfortable with leadership.

or at the very least- she doesn't look cowed by the idea. Allison kicks the pace up a half step, and Hayley is at her back without hesitation. the last time this'd happened, in the maze- there'd been a dozen of them. a dozen that she'd slipped away from in favor of pursuing her own course. of avoiding the questions and the chaos of the group. that isn't a luxury she has here. Hayley doesn't stop to consider abstract ideas like loyalty and devotion because she finds practicality infinitely more important.

mere inches behind her, to her right, Hayley's fingers shift around the flashlight and her chin lifts. there's a smile there, but it has too many teeth. ]
