SUMMARY: Open log for SEC for the month of December.
NOTES: This is open to members of SEC and also members of the public who want a bit of SEC-siness in their lives. Hmph. It's not, really. [ She briefly glances down at her whip, considering for a moment what the courts would be like if every prosecutor had one. Her lips twitch. Ludicrous, just ludicrous. ]

But yes, the very same profession. I see I should have introduced myself, first-- I'm Franziska von Karma, prosecuting prodigy.

[shoyu]

[ gosh, that little introduction sure says a lot about her? soysauce can't help but give an owlish little blink at first, looking slightly overwhelmed. presumably related to mister von karma, and a 'prodigy.' gosh. ]

A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss von Karma. [ at least he bounces back quickly enough, getting to his feet to give her a deep, almost theatrical bow. beaming at her as he straightens back up. ] Please call me Soysauce. Musician and gunman for hire, at your beck and call, m'lady!

[whippings]

[ That bow almost makes her feel like getting up herself to curtsey in return; she manages to resist the impulse, although she does look at him, slightly bemused. ]

'Soysauce'?

[ That is either a case of a very peculiar nickname or incredibly uncaring parents. ]

[ that bemused look certainly isn't something new to him, and soysauce just gives an amused little laugh before gesturing dramatically, pressing a hand to his chest. ]

A musician's reputation can live and die by a memorable stage name, m'lady! Better to be remembered by a slightly less practical name than be forgotten as just another nameless face, no?

[ he drops that pretentious stance after a moment, though, instead giving a chipper little laugh. ]

My parents were kind people, and wouldn't have actually named me something so strange, if you were wondering.

[whippings]

[ Well, it seemed that there had been some sort of decision involved along the way, which just made it all the more peculiar, in Franziska's eyes. ]

Mm. I was wondering. [ She wrinkles her nose. ] But why Soysauce? Other condiments not to your liking?

[shoyu]

Eh -- [ it's fairly obvious that soysauce doesn't really have a good answer to that question from the way he fidgets and looks around briefly. mulling over his words for a moment before answering more than a little lamely, ]

-- 'Ketchup' and 'Mustard' just don't roll off the tongue quite so nicely, yes?

[whippings]

'Roll off the tongue'? But they're condiments! They're supposed to add flavor. You never wish that you'd chosen another name instead?
