I can find my way around
CHARACTERS: Rory [OPEN TO ALL]
LOCATION: Anywhere!
WARNINGS: nada
SUMMARY: Rory is taking a break from the MedBay and is doing a bit of exploring on his own
He had taken to spending a lot of his time in the MedBay reading up on the technology at hand and looking after those few who came in. It was strange how he would look up and realize he'd been in the same position for a day or more. True, he'd gotten used to this plastic body, but he still thought like human Rory and worried a bit at how easy it was for him to just be. Today he wasn't going to worry.
Stepping out of the MedBay he headed in a random direction and decided to explore the ship a bit. He wasn't as adventurous as the Doctor or Amy, but there was still a little boy inside him pointing out that he was on a REAL spaceship and all he'd been doing was reading. Giving into that voice he had decided to give in and go for a walk.

Have a brofist. Courtesy of America.
"Asato." A pause before he remembered he should introduce himself like humans do, first and last name. "Asato Kayason." It was a fabricated name given to him because having just a first name seemed silly, and having a name that identified him as being a member of his tribe was even sillier. He didn't really understand it, but if it helped him get along with people, then he couldn't complain.
"I was doing the same."

"Well, I suppose we can explore together. I've been a bit holed up in the MedBay and decided I needed to stretch my legs before they fell off."

He nodded a bit. Exploring was the name of the game now, if they wanted to find any way to pass the time and not die of boredom. The ship seemed to have plenty to offer to those who went out an looked.
"Which way were you going?"
no subject
He couldn't keep his eyes from roaming over the other man. Forcing himself to look around the corridor he gave another shrug. "Just walking. Looking really. I haven't actually taken to exploring like some, so I'm a bit behind on where things are."
no subject
He either doesn't notice Rory staring at him, or he does and just doesn't mind it. It's not like he really has anything to hide.
"Me too. I've just seen the gardens. I haven't explored much in the rest of the ship. You could get lost. But we could go together. It seems more safe."

"They're in that direction if you ever decide to go and look."

"Past the swimming hall, then."

Rory grins a bit. "Mind if I join you then? Don't really fancy walking around alone."

He begins to walk down the corridors again, in the direction of this deck's swimming hall, beyond which he had not yet ventured.

He can't help side-eyeing the young man. "So, where are you from?"
no subject
There were traces of human life on Sisa, after all; remnants of skyscrapers in their capital city, Ransen, and a wealth of books that had been left behind by mankind, written in a language the Ribika could not understand.

But now he knows better.

What made them disappear, he has no idea. He didn't even know they were anything other than mythical beings until he was pulled from his home world.

"I've never thought about humans being extinct. I figure it will happen someday, but knowing about it is just odd."
no subject
It's the basis of much of their creation myth, actually. "We know they existed, because we have their books."

He pauses to consider that question, then nods. "I guess, in a way, we do. We believe in a god called Two Cane, who rules over the humans, and Ribika can be reborn as humans in his wold. It's supposed to be wonderful there."
no subject
"We have religion too. Lots of religions in fact." Okay, that was sort of lame.
