Camping may not be an expected activity on a spaceship, but the gardens are large and have clear, grassy areas for people to gather together. You can help set up tents, inventory supplies or guard the perimeter — just keep an eye out for any strange faces trying to sneak in...

[ Jaye fucking hates it when the whole ship is in the gardens. They tend to stick away from her favorite places, the overgrown jungles that it's her job to cut paths through, but they do get too close to her livestock for comfort. Howly's with them now, an invisible watchdog, but there are all sorts of predators on the ship.

Including the wolf she's watching from the underbrush as a wolf herself. Werewolf, maybe? He certainly isn't attacking anyone, though, and that makes her wonder -- another shapeshifter, then? Jaye moves through the brush, tail held high; these are her gardens, when she's like this. ]

[His head lifts curiously, sniffing immediately at the air, padding closer to the other wolf as they make their presences known to each other. This isn't one he's seen before, doesn't have a scent he recognizes - safe to say one or the two of them are newcomers, either in this ship or just the gardens.

He poses no threat, despite the considerable difference in size. There's little she could do to overpower him, if that were the only factor dictating the winner. Good thing he has no intention of testing that out.

[ Well, it isn't her; Jaye's scent is all over the gardens, though it's not necessarily as a wolf. Human is probably the strongest, but then it changes -- wolf, tiger, bear, squirrel, and all sorts of other animals.

He's curious, and Jaye sniffs right back at him. Huh.

Have a curious little nudge, Andy -- even as a wolf, she's pretty oblivious to personal space. ]

[Personal space is less of a concept he takes into consideration as a wolf; Jaye nudges him and he accepts, walking around her to offer a nudge of his own. Friendly contact is good, he just wonders what it is she does around the gardens. Also patrolling, perhaps?]

[ Patrolling, for now. She's meant to keep an eye on things, not just for pirates but for the people. She works here, and Netherlands certainly gets particular about how things are set up.

Most of the other people on the ship aren't stupid enough to mess with things anymore, though. Sometimes. Either way, her presence goes a long way to keeping things in order... when she's not distracted by other wolves. Let her smell your butt, Andy. ]

[He's letting her do whatever she likes, provided it's friendly and accepting. Andy means no harm, after all, and he doesn't particularly care about another wolf becoming territorial about the gardens. It's the last place that needs anything like that, especially with the chaos taking place elsewhere.

He wonders just how many wolves are walking around. There was talk of wolf people, so - this could be another one. Pity he can't just go ahead and ask.]

[ Andy can't go ahead and ask, but Jaye can. She settles down in the grass and then is quite suddenly human again, wearing her wolf earrings and her Tranquility jumpsuit. ]

If you try to bite me or something, I'll kick your ass, I'm just saying. [ This is, of course, said as she offers him a hand -- either to take if he can shift back or just to let him sniff and so she can scratch him behind the ears. Whichever. ]

[The wolf's head leans back, ears lowering for a beat. The transformation was unexpected, even if he did smell something other than animal in her. It was hard to tell it apart from the rest of the scents in the garden, however, so he thought it could be ignored. Until now, of course.

He definitely won't try to bite. The voice sounds familiar, however. Have they met?

He nudges her hand with his nose, then bumps it with his head.]

[ A-aw, cute. Jaye smiles, not a grin but an actual soft, pleased smile. Then she starts to scratch around his ears. ]

So you're either just a wolf or you're more than that and either don't want to change or can't. That's cool. Just don't go after my livestock, okay?

[ She is perfectly content to scratch him behind his ears and rub his belly if that's what it takes to protect them. You know, as if that's a big hardship for either of them. ]
