Camping may not be an expected activity on a spaceship, but the gardens are large and have clear, grassy areas for people to gather together. You can help set up tents, inventory supplies or guard the perimeter — just keep an eye out for any strange faces trying to sneak in...

[Sarah nods slightly. She could relate to that for the most part, even if her reasons were a bit different due to her profession and making sure she doesn't compromise herself as well as Chuck who she is supposed to be protecting] I know what you mean.

I've been kind of going through the same myself. I'm trying to help out people down here if they need it but it's still difficult trying to wait this out.

[interns]

[ she nodnodnods, quiet for a second too long because she isn't exactly the first person to usually open up about stuff, but. why not? they're in the same boat here. ]

It's just frustrating- one minute I feel really useful, like I'm using my skillset to actually accomplish something useful here? But as soon as we need to fight to defend ourselves, I'm just- stuck. [ her hands fold together on her lap, ponytail swishing as she shakes her head ] I never thought I would actually ever say this, but I might need to learn how to use a gun here. And that really puts things into perspective.

Yeah, me too. I didn't think I would either but you're right it does put things into perspective. As much as I don't like it, it seems to just come along with being stuck here and having to deal with everything that's going on. [There was a small lie somewhere in between all that implying she didn't know how to use a gun either but other than that, the rest of her words were genuine at least]

[interns]

I just wish there was a better way, you know? To feel safe. I trust the Security team, to an extent, but there's still some part of me that is constantly waiting for the next bad thing to happen. [ ... ] Okay, I never guess pirates would be one of them, but. You know.

[reticencies]

You're definitely not the only one— after all, it does seem like one bad thing happens after another while we're here. [a shake of her head, she just sighs] Though actually I wasn't too surprised by the pirates other than the fact they were able to get into the ship somehow.

[interns]

[ her eyes widen ] I know, right? [ which sounded too typical, too ..valley girl to say, so- ] What's been irking me is... even if they somehow attached to the ship somewhere our crew doesn't go, somewhere distant or remote, how did they manage to navigate the hallways and find us? How did they even find us out here to begin with?

[reticencies]

Yeah, exactly. [sarah has tried going through the possiblities when they showed up but it only raised more questions than she knew what to do with] As far as I'm aware it's the first time that's happened so none of this is adding up.

[interns]

It's the first time it's happened in that last year, that's certain. I'm sure Tony or Captain Kirk would have said something by now if this was a repeat performance. [ frrooown ] I hate just sitting here..

Yeah me too. [sarah just nods at that because just sitting here isn't something she wants to be doing either] Well since it's a first that makes this even more strange that it happened without anyone realizing until they announced they were here.
