STAGE 2 ( OCTOBER 11TH - 24TH )

[ brad doesn't recognise her in the memories; what he recognises is that she's in a relationship and that the memory brings up ones of his fiancee and how she left him for his best friend. as if the fact that he has memories that don't belong to him and someone has memories of his that don't belong to them in their head didn't already piss him off enough -- this is adding insult to injury, or perhaps injury to insult because he can make do with memories that aren't his, but he hates the disgustingly sweet (by his standard) nature of the dates he suddenly remembers.

he has no idea who's memories he has, even though he knows what she looks like because she checked her hair in a mirror just before one of the many dates he suddenly remembers. he has no intention of seeking her out, but when he runs into her on one of his patrols, he still stops and scowls at her. ]

[starting off the day with seeing memories that aren't even hers is more than a little unsettling for sarah and given that this was the first instance it's happened for her, she had no idea what to make of it other than assume it was some part of the ship's doing.

sarah wasn't sure who the memories belonged to but they weren't too disruptive in a way that stopped her from trying to go about her day as normal as possible. she was just walking down the hallway when she runs into him, a bit puzzled by the fact he was scowling at her] Is something wrong?

[ when she speaks he recognises her voice because he heard it in the memories through her ears, slightly lower than it sounds to his ears but still the same in pitch and accent, as if seeing her and remembering the reflection in the mirror hadn't been enough.

it's her, no doubt about it. ]

Other than remembering your disgustingly sweet courtship? [ his tone heavily implies that he considers a lot wrong with that thank you very much ]

Remembering my what? [sarah is taken by surprise at his response if only because she is not quite aware of the situation just yet. she looks genuinely confused at his tone of voice as he refers to remembering something about her and while his voice does vaguely sound familiar to her, it takes her a few moments before it finally registers that she was actually seeing his memories earlier] Oh, so you're the one I've been seeing memories from?

[ he knows how this works; an exchange of memories rather than something one-sided, but that doesn't mean it sits in any way comfortably with him that she has memories of his. ]

What do you remember? [ which of his memories did you get, that is. ]

[sarah thought the same thing of this situation and not just because she had to maintain her cover but her personal life and her past was always a touchy subject with her but still from what he told her, it didn't seem to be anything too revealing at least]

The only thing I saw was that you were talking to your Lieutenant— telling him that you had confidence in his leadership.
