[ closed ] i get high on your memories.

CHARACTERS: DEAN WINCHESTER, SPIKE & CASTIEL
LOCATION: GARDENS
WARNINGS: gonna get hiiiigh
SUMMARY: Spike asked Cas to get high with him, Cas invited Dean; the rest is herstory.
NOTES: This is backdated to b4 the jump.

Spike was laying in the middle of the field near his hammock that he set up when it started getting hot in here. He was already toasted, a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and a hand on his stomach as he watched the sky for any sign of the dinosaur. He'd been looking for her since Aidan posted about it not long ago, and since he'd spent so much time down here in the past few months, it was amazing they hadn't crossed paths sooner. Spike and the dinosaur, not Spike and Aidan.

Marty's magical munchies sat in a bowl not far from his hand as he waited for his companions. Ever since Dean had been a vampire he'd been keeping a close eye on him and it helped that he already got along with hunters (slayers/whatever). But Dean was a good guy, that much he knew. So when he'd met Castiel it seemed natural enough to trust him as well. That was how it went for Spike up here, a lot of the time. Meet a guy from a world, then before he knew it he was meeting the whole brood.

For better or for worse, he lumped Castiel and Dean together. And all three of them had more than cause enough to get blitzed. Basically, this was either one of his better ideas or just one of his usual, terrible ones. But really, what was the worst that could happen?

He would never do this under normal circumstances. In fact, he really doesn't understand just what it is they're supposed to be doing, but he trusts Spike enough to know what he's talking about. That, and he... wants to trust Dean in the same manner. Since their conversation, he owes the hunter some extension of the friendship he's desperate to seek from him. He is all he has, after all. Sam is too young to understand, and the others he's met--

They don't know.

So, he meets Dean just as he'd said he would and moves on to join Spike in the gardens. He likes this place more than any other on the ship, but it seems a majority as far as he's seen. He stops just short of Spike's spot on the ground, hovering over him and not saying a word. Only observing him for a moment before glancing at Dean questioningly. ]

Dean's pretty sure this is one of the dumber ideas to come by lately. Naturally it would involve Spike, nobody is surprised by that, but the fact that the vampire has apparently latched onto Castiel in the same manner he had done with Dean all that time ago? There's what's bugging him. And no, it's not jealousy, not even some half-formed thought of such, but rather a worry of Cas getting mixed up in bad shit. Bad shit like this.

Now Dean's no stranger to drugs, not from the simplest stuff like a joint of weed to some of the more interesting things-- but that's all been done some years in the past. Way, way past. Alcohol has always been easier for taking off that edge, but when the question had come for him to two join Spike and Cas, he hadn't been able to say no. Mostly to keep an eye on the latter.

Once he's met up with Cas and they're in the garden at Spike's side, Dean eyes the vampire much like Cas before huffing, and nudging -- or poking -- Spike with the tip of his shoe. Roughly.

"That's for comin' up with this idea."
