i want to live where soul meets body; (open log)
CHARACTERS: Allison Argent and you!
LOCATION: Open starters at SEC HQ, the gardens, the kitchens, misc
WARNINGS: N/A (will update if necessary)
SUMMARY: an open log for most of march.
NOTES: Let me know if you want a specific starter for you, or leave one of your own! Feel free to interrupt the prompts at any time, too, they're not set in stone.
SEC HQ
[ She's a hard worker, this one. When she's on shift, if she's not out actively patrolling, she's here, doing her best to keep her own 'paper'work filed, and maybe working on some of the backlog, too. Edgeworth's desk is still piled up and it grows every day. It's the least she can do, right? Sometimes she's just here on break, leafing through a book she's found in the library (although most of it goes right over her head, considering it all references things she has no idea about) or she's watching an episode of All My Universes on her comm. Isadora is crazy, isn't she!? ]
Oxygen Gardens/9th floor Kitchens
[ Running helps her keep her mind clear. It was one of the things she did back home when she was having a rough time with things, and here it provides her with a strange sense of comfort. A forest is a forest, even if the terrain is completely different. She does her best to stick to the main paths while she jogs, trying not to get in the way of anyone working or otherwise out. When she's done, she heads to the kitchens for a bottle of water, sitting on the counter and drinking it with her eyes closed. She needs to go to the showers next, but the breather is nice. So she's savoring it. ]

[And then, quickly, before she can either defend or protest--he puts up his hands in surrender.]
But, as I said. No accounting for taste. Some girls like 'em aged and triangular. That's perfectly fine. Right, so--he's the only one? No list?

[--He sighs. And then, without second thought:]
Dare.

You what!

[Disgusted, he shakes his head.]
That's not a dare. That's cheating. I thought so much better of you than this.

[He sniffs, once, short and superior--but the defensive act is as quick to go as it was to come, because--]
But I am allowed to register my complaint, I hope. This is seriously unfair. This isn't a dare, this is a punishment. You're using my own game against me.

[But, with a sigh, he shifts off the sofa, and goes, slump-shouldered, toward the paper shuffled across the floor.]
I'll probably never be able to play this game ever again. I'll always think of this moment, when you stabbed me in the back. [Another sigh, louder.] Tragic. Truth or Dare for you, then. Go on. Game's not over.

Good. Dare.
[In a tone like I'm going to get you back. On his knees, working on gathering up the paper, Sirius levels a stare at Allison.]
I dare you to--take off your shirt, turn it inside-out, and wear it. Right here, right now.
[so THERE.]

His only comment, before she sits down, is:] You've done this before, haven't you.
[And then, okay, he resumes tidying up.]
Is that part of the dare? Using magic? I assumed in your heartlessness you were being fully heartless.

[--he says, and sits back on his heels so he can tug his wand out of his pocket again. He waves it once, and then jabs toward the stack he had started--
And straightaway, he waves it, and the papers all jump into the air, and like they're being hoovered up by some great invisible hoover, they suck in toward the stack, clamoring to pile on top of one another until--
There they are. A single stack, very neat. Sirius shoves himself to his feet, and sets his boot down on top of the pile.]
What's it, that muggle magicians say? Oh, yeah. Ta-dahhhhh.
[Wiggly fingers, kind of like jazz hands. (Wizards don't have jazz hands.)]

[He waves his wand at the stack of papers, and they lift up, hovering about chest-height, before he directs them back toward the table.]
I'm frightened of your dares.

[Open-ended question. He shoots another grin back at Allison.]
You.

[He comes to sit back down on the sofa beside her, and answers, simply:]
Yes.
