I can find my way around
CHARACTERS: Rory [OPEN TO ALL]
LOCATION: Anywhere!
WARNINGS: nada
SUMMARY: Rory is taking a break from the MedBay and is doing a bit of exploring on his own
He had taken to spending a lot of his time in the MedBay reading up on the technology at hand and looking after those few who came in. It was strange how he would look up and realize he'd been in the same position for a day or more. True, he'd gotten used to this plastic body, but he still thought like human Rory and worried a bit at how easy it was for him to just be. Today he wasn't going to worry.
Stepping out of the MedBay he headed in a random direction and decided to explore the ship a bit. He wasn't as adventurous as the Doctor or Amy, but there was still a little boy inside him pointing out that he was on a REAL spaceship and all he'd been doing was reading. Giving into that voice he had decided to give in and go for a walk.

Today he decided to leave his room and explore a bit more, pushing just a little further than the place he'd previously stopped every time he set out. He couldn't ever shake the way this ship perplexed him, but he'd have to get used to it sooner or later, so he may as well make the best of it until he could return home.
The ribika picked up the sound of footsteps and an unfamiliar scent.
"Someone there? I can hear you."
Normally he wouldn't call out, but he was learning to gradually lower his guard. That, and he was in no position to ambush anyone right now.

Oh. A cat-person. Strange, but not completely foreign. He grinned and held out a hand. "Rory Williams."

Have a brofist. Courtesy of America.
"Asato." A pause before he remembered he should introduce himself like humans do, first and last name. "Asato Kayason." It was a fabricated name given to him because having just a first name seemed silly, and having a name that identified him as being a member of his tribe was even sillier. He didn't really understand it, but if it helped him get along with people, then he couldn't complain.
"I was doing the same."

"Well, I suppose we can explore together. I've been a bit holed up in the MedBay and decided I needed to stretch my legs before they fell off."

He nodded a bit. Exploring was the name of the game now, if they wanted to find any way to pass the time and not die of boredom. The ship seemed to have plenty to offer to those who went out an looked.
"Which way were you going?"

As he passes Rory in the hall, he gives a small, nonchalant wave and continues on.

"Hello to you, too," he said with his arms raised, to about the height of his shoulders. He stopped his arms there, trusting that Rory would see that he was otherwise unarmed, instead reaching for the bo-staff attached to his back.

"You're a-a friend of the Doctor's, right? Proton?"

"Hello. Mind if I join you? I can show you around and then we'll go exploring. I also have a map, so that you'll know what's already been done."
It had been too long since he'd last been exploring. Working at Medical was fun, but my, the days were long. And exhausting. Stats needed a break.

Stats hands the maps. "Here. If you want to have a look before we go."

Sleep was oftentimes painful, like someone pushing down on her chest. Last night it seemed to happen more so than usual.
So she was out and about now, on a little stroll through the hallways of the ship. Though for aforementioned reasons, she hadn't really been thinking or paying much attention to where she was going. That was, before turning around the corner and finding herself barely evading bumping into a like-minded wanderer she didn't recognize.
...oh.

It just seemed like the kind of thing someone would say.

Another corner and he turned nearly running over whoever was coming his way. "Oh, ah, sorry mate!"

"You're...Rory, right?" He shot a glance sideways at Ianto, to confirm that he wasn't getting this wrong. He'd spoken to the man once before, but Ianto had supplimented that with a bit more information that he'd learned from talking to him himself. Like the part about immortality. Jack realized that some day, they were probably going to need to have a bit of a talk about that one.

However, this also means head down, pencil scratching, and...possibly running smack into people.

Side stepping the woman he gave a concerned look. "You alright there?"
no subject
"Hm?" She looks up when she's addressed, then glances around. Huh. "Oh. Yes -- yes. I'm sorry. Wasn't paying attention. Trying to map the ship out."
